I am of course assuming that everyone knows what I meand when I refer to a Phoenix with reference to StudioSpares?
A Phoenix is a mythical bird that is rebourne out of the ashes of its previous self. And that is what apears to have happened to StudioSpares.
Appearing on many of the social media sites Gear4Music have announced that they have added StudioSpares to their family.
On 22 October 2024 Gear4Music issued a trading statement to its investors, in amoungst the Revenue groths and EBITDA statements you will find the following statement:
'Acquired the brand, IP and other assets of Studiospares Europe Limited for £150,000, further expanding our own-brand portfolio'
So the brand is the name StudioSpares, the logo as shown in the above statement and the website address https://www.studiospares.com. Which now redirects to https://www.gear4music.com/studiospares.
The IP or more correctly Interlectual Property. These are the designs and products made by and marketed by StudioSpare. In specific Trojan Pro cases, Lambden Audio, Imperative Audio and of course StudioSpares cables.
And lastly, £150,000 while sounding like a large number was probably a bargin for the brands and assets that Gear4Music has purchased.
StudioSpares: Of course what does this all mean?
Well I am hoping personally that Gear4Music will continue to provide quailty cables at an affordable price. But we shall need to wait to see what lines are continued and which they choose to ditch?
Until next time....
