Using SYSEX to Backup and Restore

A number of community members have asked how do you restore the D-70 using SYSEX following a previous video when I performed this process using a memory ROM card.

 

This is the first of a series of three videos that will explain how to backup the keyboard using SYSEX.

 

The other videos in this series will explain how to restore the keyboard using SYSEX and resetting the User function.

Unlike using a ROM based memory card to perform the backup and restore process on your D-70.  The SYSEX method to backup and restore the instrument does not restore the direct jumps menu.

This is the third of a series of three videos that will explain How to add the Direct Jumps links to the User button following the restore process. During the restore process all the direct jump Links will be reset to point to menu #1

 

The other videos in this series will explain how to backup the keyboard using SYSEX and how to restore the keyboard using SYSEX, including reloading the factory patches using this method.
